‘Danny Boy 111 Z’ and Finn Boerekamp from the Netherlands, win the 8yr old class

Hugo Carvalho, from Portugal, has a brilliant day, winning both 7yr old classes with‘Noble Style-N’ and ‘Nau-N’ and taking fourth in the 8yr olds with ‘Maluda-N’

‘Danny Boy 111 Z’ (‘Dominator 2000 Z’ x ‘Chopin van het Moleneind’) was the winner of the 2PhSp 1.40, 8yr old class, here at the Tour today. This is the best result for the gelding so far with his Dutch rider Finn Boerekamp, although they had a second place back on the 7th in this class. Today they stopped the clock in 23.75s a hair’s breadth in front of ‘Comme Ci Comme Ca’ in 23.79s with another Dutch rider, Micky Morssinkhof In third place was ‘Mr Perfect’ ridden by Swedish, Emma Emanuelsson; fourth was ‘Maluda-N’, with their second win in this class so far and ridden by Hugo Carvalho from Portugal; indeed Hugo had a great start to the week as he was also the winner of both of today’s 7yr old classes. In fifth was ‘Romelus de Muze’ with the Irish rider, Jessica Burke. In this class, 29 of the 64 horses went clear adding a qualifying round to their tally for qualification in the Finals which will be held next week.

 

The winners of the two 7yr old classes, ridden by Hugo Carvalho were ’Noble Style-N’ and ‘Nau-N’, who are both by ‘Grand Slam’.

 

In the first class, second place was taken by ‘Fahidi D’Elsendam Z’ with Spanish rider, Armando Trapote; third was ‘Bellini O.S’with British rider, Taio Strevett; ‘Nina Tilla’ with another Spanish rider, Jesús Garmendia Echevarría was fourth and in fifth was ‘Marble Arch’ with Danish rider, Karoline Sloth Kjaer.

 

In the other class, second place went to ‘Narcos’ with British, Joshua Hutchins; third places were a tie between ‘Arezzo de Llamosas’, also ridden by Armando Trapote and ’Himalaya’ with Danish rider, Kasper H. Hansen. Finally in fifth was ‘Nice Girl Dito’ with Odile Gierech from Luxembourg.

 

156 horses jumped and there were 84 clears in this 7yr old section.

 

In the first 6yr old class the winner was ‘Cean’ (‘Ghost’ x ‘Berlin’) their third consecutive win here with the Dutch rider, Daan Adams. Cassandre Malherbe from, Belgium was once agin in the rosettes, taking both second and third places, with ‘Like A G6 MKM Z’ followed by ‘Lou van het Eikenhof Z. Fourth was ‘Mr Co-K van Kattenheye Z’ with the British rider, Megan James and in fifth was ‘Oploo’ with another British rider, Joshua Hutchins. In this class 51 of the 92 horses jumped clear.

 

In the second 6yr old class ‘Juno de Llamosas’ was the winner with the Spanish rider, Hugo Álvarez Amaro. Lina Renstrom from Sweden, took both second and third places with ‘Madara 4’ followed by ‘True Label DC’. Fourth was ‘Mon Beau Fire’ with British rider, Will Edwards and in fifth was ‘Ornella’ with Italian, Luca Moneta. 50 horses jumped clear in this class.

 

The 5yr olds started off their week with a FnoT class and 49 added clear rounds to their tally.
