German victory for Jana Wargers with ‘Rockwell RC’ in the Clip My Horse GP

British Skye Higgin comes in second with ‘Djordania du Tillard’ and third is Spanish, Pello Elorduy Ibarzabal with ‘Champenoise de Rampan’

The German national anthem rang out across the showground here at Montenmedioin the III Andalucía October Tour; for the winner of the Clip My Horse 1.55 Grand Prix class, Jana Wargers with ‘Rockwell RC’,

 

This superbly bred nine year old mare, by ‘Kannan’, won her class in the grass David Broome arena in the only time under 40s, 39.67s in a 12 horse jump off.

 

Regular Tour rider, British Skye Higgin has had good results all week and today topped them off with well deserved second place, with ‘DJordania du Tillard’ (‘Air Jordan’ x ‘Diamant de Semilly’). Third was Spanish, Pello Elorduy Ibarzabal with ‘Champenoise de Rampan’. Fourth was Brazilian, Eduardo Pereira de Menezes with ‘H5 Origi Horta’ and fifth was Swiss, Sasha Barthe with ‘Essenar High Hopes’.

 

Argentinian Matías Alvaro has had good results all week and today he was the winner with ‘Gucci’ in the 1.35. Second was Spanish Luis Ortiz Agüera and ‘Land Ho Mister Mars’ and third was Polish, Andrzej Oplatek with ‘Nordsturm 15’.

 

There was a Spanish top two in the 1.25 class; from Marcos Díaz Rodríguez and ‘Little Chap S’, followed by Carlota Vázquez Arrojo with ‘L’Esprit Bareliere Z, with British Kayleigh Watts coming third on ‘Sunday’. The top two in the 1.10 were British,  Jonathan Jarman and ‘Wii Fi’ followed by Lola Luchford and ‘Izar LB’.

 

The 7yr old class was dominated by Spanish riders right down to 5th place. The winner was ‘Carabinieri V Cascadella I’ ridden by Alfons Roquet Puignero; second was ‘Cinsey EK’ and Kevin González de Zárate; third, ’Opie Dopie Puigroq’ with Laura Roquet;  fourth, ’Qevita VD Bisschop’ and Ricardo Jurado and in fifth was ‘Diamand’ and Carlos Lange.

 

In the 6yr old class, ‘Aliki Z’ was the winner ridden by American Molly Hay with Irish, Niamh McEvoy taking second on ‘BP Wonder’.

Niamh has had a stunning week here at the Tour taking first and second in her classes with this lovely mare and also winning three of this weeks top classes; the two Ranking classes, one with ‘DHF Lift off’ just yesterday and the other on Friday, the Hipotels Trophy, with ‘Templepatrick Welcome Limmerick’. She also won the 1.40 on Thursday with ‘My Diamant PD Z’. Well done Niamh for a super week of competition!
