Winners of the Longines Ranking classes; the 1.50m Royal Bliss Trophy were Abdelkebir Ouaddar and Baccarat Meniljean, the 1.35m winner was Sanne Thijssen and Keiralanda VDM
Winners of the Stephex Grand Prix were Emily Dehoff and Manou de Muze.
Kicking off the action here at the Tour today was the 1.30m CSI2* and our winner was Spanish rider, Patricia Segura with the mare Valseuse de Terlong. Second was William Fletcher with Calixte Heartbreaker Z and third was Jesús Garmendia Echevarría with Faslco PS.
Jesús Garmendia Echevarría continued his good results by taking top of the podium in the 1.45 CSIO3* riding Sandano 2 and with a commanding lead of nearly 2s over Thibault Philippaerts with Lyandro MDB and just behind in third, was Derin Demirsoy with Minuit van Het Grootveldhof.
The first Longines Ranking Royal Bliss Trophy class was a 1.35m, 2PhSp in the CSI2. Sanne Thijssen rode Keiralanda VDM to victory in the Hickstead arena; Eduardo Netto de Almeida was second with Clinton du Temple and Michael Pender was third with HHS Savanna.
The 1.45m Stephex Grand Prix (CSI2*), was also a Longines Ranking class. 14 horses from the 78 entries went clear in the first round. American rider, Emily Dehoff was the winner with Manou de Muze in the only time under 38s. Second was Robin Lesqueren with Galax du Rouet and third was Canadian rider Kyle Timm just 0.14s behind, with Diva du Temple.
The CSI2* 1.20 in the Baloubet du Rouet arena, saw 35 of 49 competitors with full points in this Accumulator class. Ella Kenny had the fastest round with Carrickadawson Womanizer. Aurelie Vivancosy was second with Fabuleux des Forets, and third was Sandra Gaspar Carreira with Hifi.
The 6yr old CSIYH* class was 1.30m and was dominated by the Irish riders, the winner, once again, was the talented Michael Pender with HHS Othello; second was Shanne O’Reilly with Susan II and to completing the podium, was Michelle Kenny with Milla van de Kapel.
In the 1.50, Royal Bliss CSIO3* Longines Ranking class; Abdelkebir Ouaddar flew around the two phases in the David Broome arena winning the class with Baccarat Meniljean. Cian O'Connor came in tight on his heels with Funky Fred Marienshof Z and in third was Raleigh Hiler with Lennox VD Bisshop.
The 1.10m in the CSI2* had a British top six! The winner was Lauryn Stoute with K.I Geilo. Cassandra Cope took the next two placings with Hamlets Fire and Vinella respt.
The results for the Pony classes were, Daphne Rayes Simo winning with Jolly Jumper HT in the 1.10m. Gabriel Kilzie was once again our winner in the 1m class with Nathan, and Romy Galet Roux was the winner of the 0.80-0.90m class with Anis du Vert.
Tomorrow we finish off the week with six classes, including the Grand Prix, a Longines Ranking class counting for the European Championships 2025. The whole event is kindly sponsored by the Department of Tourism, Culture and Sport, and co-financed by the European Union and the Provincial Council of Cadiz.
