‘Jolie Van Der Berghoeve’ and Carlos Bosch Cebrián, local winners of the 8yr old Class

‘Radjamerci Van De Vlasbloemhoeve’ and ‘Maestro S’ are the 7yr old winners and in the 6yr olds the winners are; ‘Agalove AB Z’; ‘Sexy Girl Vant Gebergte’ and ‘A Classic Azzaro Z’

More than 680 Young Horses took to the arenas today, the first day of the XXX Andalucía Sunshine Tour

 

Today was an intense start to the XXX Andalucía Sunshine Tour, with more than 680 Young Horses taking to the arenas and classes divided into two and three sections. The Tour is sponsored by the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sports of the Government of Andalucía, through Tourism and Sports of Andalucía.

 

The 5 yr olds had a gentle start to the week with a FnoT class and there were 150 overall in this section. They jumped in arena number 8, Baloubet du Rouet which was later used for the 8yr olds.

 

This latter class was a two phase special class set at 1.40m. The winner was the mare,  ‘Jolie Van Der Berghoeve’, who is by ‘Jaguar VD Berghoeve’ x ‘Kannan’, and who was ridden by the locally based, Carlos Bosch Cebrián. Their time in the second phase was  incredibly fast at 23.42s. Coming in second was ‘Mesala del Amor’ and another fast Spanish rider, Kevin González de Zárate stopping the clock in 25.36s. In third was ‘Goldeneye Des Court’ with Moroccan rider, El Ghali Boukaa.

 

The 7yr olds were based in the Big Star arena with almost 200 horses jumping. ‘Maestro S’ (‘Emerald Van’t Ruytershof’ x ‘Ginus’) with Swiss rider, Edouard Schmitz won one of the classes. Second was ‘Milme’ with Spanish rider, Hugo Álvarez Amaro and third was ‘Monfaut Gumo MP’ with Dutch regular here, Sanne Thijssen. In the second class, ‘Radjamerci Van De Vlasbloemhoeve’ was our winner with British rider, James Wilson; ‘Njves’ was second with Italian Luca Moneta and third was ‘Kleons Upside’ with Austrian rider, Christoph Obernauer.

 

The 6yr olds were based in arena 5, Milton, with two classes, but the second being split due to the sheer numbers of entries. The class was a speed class (FT) set at 1.15m and in the end 240 horses jumped. In the first class the winners were ‘Agalove AB Z’ (‘Aganix du Seigneur Z’ x ‘Indoctro’) with Swedish rider,  Sofía Westborg. Second was ‘California 159’ with the Irish rider, Shane Dwan and in third was ‘Fahidi D’Elsendam Z’ with Belgian, Thibault Vermeulen. In the second class the fastest combination were ‘Sexy Girl Vant Gebergte’ with Italian, Stefano Nogara who shared first place with ‘A Classic Azzaro Z’ ridden by the Belgian Dries Dekker. Second places were taken by ‘Ihaveadream Deluca’ with French rider,  Gaspard Maksud and ‘Sienna de Brandegem’ with Swiss rider, Sasha Barthe. Third places were taken by Carlos Bosch, ‘Sempre Van de Berghoeve’ in has second podium place of the day and Shane Dwan was on the podium once again with ‘IJump’.

 

Competition continues tomorrow with a similar set up as today. Thursday the first of the six CSI4*s starts up here at the 30th edition of the Andalucía Sunshine Tour.
