Martin Fuchs has an impressive win with ‘Bastille’, in the Royal Bliss Trophy

Penelope Leprevost is second with ‘Djagger Semilly’ and also wins the Medium Tour Ranking with ‘Fantasy de la Roque Z’

Top Swiss rider, Martin Fuchs, who is sixth in the Longines Rankings, had an impressive win in the Royal Bliss sponsored, 1.50 Ranking class today, in the main, David Broome arena.  His mount was the super, 10yr old mare ‘Bastille’, who is beautifully bred by  ‘Balou du Rouet’ x ‘Chacco Blue’ and is owned by  Luigi Baleri.  This pair stopped the clock in 67.79s pushing top French rider, Penelope Leprevost and ‘Djagger Semilly’ (‘Diamant de Semilly’ x ‘Apache D’Adrieres’). into second place with a lovely round in 68.53s.  Penelope continues her great success here after winning yesterday’s 1.50 class and with this mare and also, today, winning the other Ranking class, the Medium Tour 1.45, with ‘Fantasy de la Roque Z’, another 10yr old, mare who is by For Hero De Hus’ x ‘Heartbreaker’.

 

Third place in this Royal Bliss Trophy class was another Swiss rider, Anthony Bourquard with ‘Ecuador de la Cense’; fourth was Brazilian, João Víctor Castro with ‘Charon Van Moeshof’ and fifth was Dutch, Michael Greeve with ‘Denver’.

 

With Penelope winning the other Ranking class, in 21.31s, close on her heels, taking  second, was German, Kendra Claricia Brinkop with ‘Ma Belle’; third was Moroccan, El Ghali Boukaa with ‘A Kyss’; fourth, Spanish,  Jesús Garmendia with ‘Valut 2’ and fifth was Polish,  Adam Grzegorzewski with ‘Valanna’.

 

The Big Tour 1.45 was won by Swedish, Sofía Westborg with ‘Alencia Von Hary Z’; second was Moroccan, Farid Amanzar with ‘Churchill Z’ and in third, Italian, Luca Moneta with ‘Knock Out’.  British, Ben Walker won the Big Tour 1.35 with ‘Melvin VD Bisschop’ followed by Belgian, Dimme D´Haese with ‘Etikarta V Z’and British, Stephen Lohoar with ‘Kameron LSH’.

 

Top of the podium in the Medium Tour 1.40 was Dutch, Mel Thijssen with ‘Cartolana 2’; second was Martin Fuchs, this time with ‘Coromont’ and third, Belgian, Gilles Thomas with ‘J. Comghorla Van Beek’.  There was also a Dutch winner in the 1.30, from  Anouk De Ruitjer with ‘Moviestar’;  Swiss, Yannick Jorand was second with ‘Daylight VH Maressahof Z’ and Danish, Jennifer Pedersen third with ‘Vivanto 3’.  In the 1.20, Czech rider, Emma Sophia Spanko took the top of the podium with ‘Carlvino LB’ followed by British, Phillip Miller with ‘Ron Weasley’ and in third was Australian, Pru Dawes with ‘Cooley Legaland’.

 

Small Tour results:  Irish, Katie McEnteeto has a very fast win in the 1.40 class with  ‘Roundthorn Hercules’.  Belgian, Lara Eggermont was second with ‘Born to Win AP Z’ and third was another Irish rider, Coen Williams with ‘Conthanja’.  Coen also was the winner in the 1.35 this time with ‘Semeli’.  Second in this class was Swedish, Jacob Hellström with ‘Caroline’ and in third was British,  Ava Vernon with ‘Billy Trysil’.

 

The top riders in the third CSI1*, were, British, Summer Tanner with ‘Billy Colman’ in the 1.30; another British rider, Arianna Kuligowski won the 1.20 with ‘Ivascalle’ and finally Moroccan, Mohamed Benharbet Alami with ‘Chiva’ won the 1.10.

 

These are the main results after a busy day of jumping here at the XXX Andalucía Sunshine Tour, sponsored by the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sports of the Government of Andalucía, through Tourism and Sports of Andalucía.

 

Tomorrow we continue with thirteen classes, including a Ranking class and also a special, Six Bar class which will be held in the covered arena.
