The second of the international competitions leading up to the XXXII Andalucía Sunshine Tour came to an end at Dehesa Montenmedio with a day full of excitement and top-level sport.
On the final day of the CSI3* Andalucía Pre-Sunshine Tour, seven classes were held, five international and two regional. The highlight class, the 1.35m, was won by Italy’s Maria Vittoria Gaffuri riding Cafeine des Roches, a 14-year-old mare by Robin de Vinebus. Gaffuri had come close to victory the previous day and today confirmed her excellent form.
Two Spanish riders shone in this class. Luis Ortiz Agüera, in great sporting form after his performances in the first competitions at Dehesa Montenmedio, finished second with Isseymiyake de Kaps Coco. Telmo Ortiz, competing with several horses owned by Juan Miguel Febrer, placed fifth with Sunshine Magic.
In the 1.30m class, Portuguese riders once again stood out, taking the top two places: João Vicente Caldeira claimed victory with Frisson de B’Neville, while Antonio Relvas finished second with Holly. Among the top ten was Spain’s Carolina Villanueva, who finished ninth with Weiheiwei Ch.
The CSI3* classes were completed with the 1.25m class, in which Britain’s Alfie Bradstock, riding Gladstone, took the win after a flawless weekend in which he won all three classes he contested. He was followed by Germany’s Carola Wegener in second place with Chavanna PS, and Spain’s Olivier Glenn Lange in third with Chacco’s Magic.
In addition, the final two young horse classes of the CSI were held. In the six-year-old category, victory went to Daytona Gay Z, ridden by France’s Mathilde Longy, while in the seven-year-old class the winner was the mare To Me-K van Kattenheye, ridden by Germany’s Kendra Claricia Brinkop, one of the standout riders of the first two international competitions of 2026 at Dehesa Montenmedio.
As for the regional classes, they were held at heights of 1.05m and 1.15m. In the former, Mª Ángeles Macías was once again the only competitor, while in the 1.15m class three Spanish riders stepped onto the podium: Gabriel Kilzie with Nathan in first place, Ada Borella with Pegasus Jappeloup in second, and Salvador Cámara with Guess Galente in third.
The CSI3* Andalucía Pre-Sunshine Tour served as the prelude to the XXXII Andalucía Sunshine Tour, which will take place from February 3 to March 15 and is sponsored by the Regional Government of Andalusia through the Ministry of Tourism and Andalusia Abroad, and by the Provincial Council of Cádiz. This collaboration reinforces the institutional commitment to promoting the region, organizing internationally renowned events, and supporting the economic, cultural and tourism development of the area.
