The countdown has begun for the start of the XXXII Andalucía Sunshine Tour, the oldest show jumping circuit in Spain and one of the most prestigious in Europe. Major names from the international show jumping scene will gather for the first of the seven weeks of competition that make up the circuit’s calendar.
From February 3 to March 22, Dehesa Montenmedio will once again become the epicentre of international equestrian sport. Seven uninterrupted weeks of top-level competition, an elite sporting programme and a unique atmosphere await professionals, amateurs and talent scouts alike. A total of 36 Longines FEI Ranking classes will be held, featuring many of the world’s best riders and supported by facilities meticulously prepared to host each competition.
Among the most anticipated moments are the Invitational Grand Prix events, scheduled for the third and seventh weeks of the circuit. These same weeks will also host the Young Horse Finals, one of the main points of interest for professionals and show jumping enthusiasts. In addition, fans of Dressage will be able to enjoy an International Dressage Competition, taking place from March 17 to 22 during the seventh week of the circuit.
The first week of the XXXII Andalucía Sunshine Tour 2026 will welcome nearly 1,700 horses, more than 800 of which will compete in the CSI4*. The entry list includes internationally renowned riders such as Gilles Thomas (currently number 5 in the Longines FEI Ranking), Steve Guerdat, Pedro Veniss, Kendra Claricia Brinkop, Richard Howley, Thibeau Spits, Gerrit Nieberg, Sanne Thijssen, brothers Anthony and Thibault Philippaerts, Gregory Wathelet and Lorenzo de Luca, among many other regulars on the sport’s biggest stages.
Dehesa Montenmedio’s facilities are already dressed to impress for this edition. The first two days, Tuesday February 3 and Wednesday February 4, will be dedicated to 5-, 6-, 7- and 8-year-old horses. From Thursday onwards, competition in the first CSI4* will get underway, marking the start of the most intense and highest-level action.
The circuit is sponsored by the Regional Government of Andalusia, through the Ministry of Tourism and Andalusia External Affairs, and the Provincial Council of Cádiz. This collaboration reinforces the institutional commitment to promoting the region, organising internationally renowned events and fostering the economic, cultural and tourism development of the area.
