The Karlswood Trophy was won by the Columbian rider Santiago Díaz Ortega with the nine year old ‘Tuuls’, who is by ‘Toulon’ x ‘Quality Time TN’. They took the top spot in a jump off of nine riders, stopping the clock in just 31.78s ahead of Irish, Francis Derwin with ‘Flexi K’ in 32.10s. Third was the French rider, Robin Lesqueren with ‘Galax du Rouet’; fourth was Spanish rider, Imma Roquet Autonell with ‘Icenta del Maset’ and Brazilian, Felipe Amaral with ‘Qerbi Vant Ruytershof’ was fifth. This class was a Longings Ranking CSI4* set at 1.45m held in the grass David Broome arena.
Swedish rider, Alexander Zetterman and ‘Parfait D’Avril’ were the winners of the 1.40 2PhSp held in the Hickstead arena. Their time in the second round was 20.60s just in front of our 1.45 winner, Santiago Díaz Ortega who was riding ‘Chasspleen Flamingo Z’; Gemma Stevens was third with ‘Envoy Merelsnest Z’ and the Jordanian rider, Ibrahim Bisharat with ‘Happyness’, was fourth, with Felipe Amaral again in the results, this time in fifth with ‘Empress de Paumalice’.
The 1.30 went to the Dutch combination of Rogier Linssen with ‘Bel-Mia SP’ coming in in front of the Spanish rider, Santiago Díaz Ortega with ‘Honfleur’; third was Irish, Aine Shortall with ‘Killerisk Can Ya’; fourth was German, Tom Schewe with ‘High Offley Milo’ and in fifth was Jordanian rider, Hani Bisharat with ‘El Nino Bull’s Eye Z’.
Spanish rider, Mario Peña Sánchez and ‘Espoir du Chene’ took the top spot in the 1.20; ahead of Hungarian, Nora Jazmin Nagy who took both second and third places with ‘Cassandra-E’ and ‘Calathea 3’. Irish rider, Gerard Campbell and ‘Livio’ were fourth and fifth, was Spanish Oliver Lange Fraile with ‘Mega Coupe’.
The 1.10, was also won by a Spanish rider, Juan Miguel Ferrer Riu with ‘Sunshine Magic’; second was Alexey Mashchenkov with ‘Ophelia Incipit’; followed by Saskia Nougues with ‘Duke’; Anzhelika Kuznetsova with ‘Caprice CK Z’ and Allegra Banks Clark with ‘Meneer’.
In the 6yr old Young Horse class the winner was ‘Jahnn de Kergane’ with French, Arthur Le Vot; second was ’BG Desperados By Hidalgo Z’ with Hugo Kogelnig; third, ’Celine A S Z’ with British rider, Chloe Aston; fourth, ’Jackpot de Saba’ with French rider, Melissa Garbail and in fifth was ‘Ych Happy’ with another Spanish rider, José Antonio García Diana.
‘Bella Ciao MKM Z’ was the winner o the 5yr old class with Belgian rider, Cassandre Malherbe followed by ‘Chevere de Capellán’ ridden by Santiago Núñez Riva for Spain; third was ‘Springsteen P’ with German rider Stephanie Böhe; fourth, ’Daisy PS’ with Spanish, Armando Trapote Mariscal and fifth was ‘Mr Priority’ with Irish, James Derwin.
